El Paseo Arts Presents: Reduced Shakespeare Company In William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (A

February 6th - 8th

One of the most regrettably overlooked fake news stories of the past year is the discovery of William Shakespeare’s first dramatic work. Discovered in a treasure filled parking lot in England (next to a pile of bones that didn’t look that important), an ancient manuscript proves to be the long-lost first play written by none other than seventeen-year-old William Shakespeare from Stratford. Abridged down to 90 minutes, thanks to the able minds of the Reduced Shakespeare Company, this plot of a lost masterpiece begins when Puck and Ariel hijack the plot of Comedy of Errors. In the Long Lost First Play, the company weaves the Bard’s most famous characters, greatest lines, and magnificent speeches into an entirely new, comic tour de force. As National Public Radio says, “something wickedly funny this way comes! … and wickedly smart, too.”

Color Me Rad

February 11th at 9:00 am

We’re the only 5K that will send you running through the rainbow and leave you covered from head to toe in powders of pink, yellow, green, blue, and violet. Winners are rewarded at the finish line with DJ anchored dance party that will make you forget you just ran a 5k. After a day of color bombardment, we guarantee your outlook will be brighter and ass a lot tighter.

Start out as clean as a newborn babe, and throughout the run, our volunteers will coat you with liquids, powders, and gels of blue, green, pink, purple, and yellow until your face, shirt, and body come out silkscreened like a tie-dyed hippie on the other side. Each section of the run adds a new explosion of color to your clean, painter’s palate until you cross the finish line into a final explosion of color.

This is the royal rumble of color. Every 15-20 minutes, participants grab their color powder and create a revival of the RADDEST kind. There will be music, food, and more RAD runners than the 80s. Hugs are free and just like any good AA meeting, spectators are welcome.
