The free, inaugural two-day, Island Folk Festival will launch this Friday in the Entertainment District on South Padre Island with live concerts being held each night at Tequila Sunset, Louie’s Backyard, and Laguna Bob.
The event, produced by Hartwell Talent & Productions, will present a diverse, talented roster of unique artists and performers. The two-day concerts beginning at 6:15 p.m. and will end by 1:30 a.m.
The full line up for each venue is as follows:
Laguna Bob
Friday: Happy Band, Andy Keating, Bill Davis, The Loveleighs, Dana Falconberry
Saturday: Joel Melton, Jason Weems, Emilie Clepper, J. Wagner, Tish Hinojosa
Louie’s Backyard
Friday: Jack Hartwell, Marc Brenton, Jason Weems, Shawnee Kilgore, Grace Park

The booth-space craft area will be set up at 101 Laguna Blvd., directly in front of Laguna Bob’s area and next to Louie’s Backyard.
Community members and concert-goers are asked to check out the event’s website, especially the featured lodging sponsors. Several realty groups, hotels, and the Kampgrounds of America (RV sites, cabins) for a special event pricing. Upon mentioning the event code (ISLANDFOLK2014) to reservationist, festival-goers will receive a discounted lodging price!
Event organizers have connected with featured sponsors to engage them in several direct and social media opportunities. Social media outlets will be utilized throughout the festival.
